The Meeting of Minds
Our story begins in the late 2000s, crossing paths in a fast-paced industry where most people only see the surface. Brandy was stepping into the construction world with a powerhouse background in retail management—she knew people, operations, and how to run a tight ship, but was navigating the new complex ins and outs of roofing logistics and installation. Kelly, a
seasoned veteran in construction and material distribution, stepped in to help bridge the gap, training Brandy on the highly technical side of the trade.
Almost immediately, a mutual professional respect was born. Brandy went on to successfully manage and help scale another roofing company, while Kelly climbed the ranks to become a founding stakeholder in a rapidly growing distribution startup.
The Turning Point
By 2019, the landscape shifted. Kelly’s startup had captured major market share locally and was acquired by one of the largest corporate roofing distribution giants in the country. Standing at a professional crossroads, Kelly knew it was time for a change. Corporate red tape wasn’t the goal—building something of lasting value was. Brandy had also reached a plateau in the small
Roofing company she was then running.
Kelly called Brandy with a bold proposition: Let’s team up and shake up the construction world. They had both spent years watching the same frustrating patterns play out across the industry: a staggering lack of clear communication, broken promises, and missing integrity. They knew homeowners deserved better. After its humble beginnings in 2014 focusing on a few small projects, Clearwater was officially reborn in 2019 under their shared leadership, founded on a simple but revolutionary premise: pairing flawless, high-end craftsmanship with corporate-level organization and transparent communication.
Where We Are Today
What started as a mission to bring integrity back to residential remodeling has evolved into something massive. While Clearwater initially made its name delivering stunning kitchens, bathrooms, and exterior transformations, we have grown right alongside the needs of our community.
Today, nearly half of our passion and effort goes into executing complex, high-end structural additions and custom accessory dwelling units. We don’t just build spaces; we build trust, elevate homes, and prove every day that a construction project can actually be a seamless, rewarding experience.
